Valentines Day is just around the corner – why not treat that someone special to an original piece of art? Β Please have a look at my web site for gift ideas.

Well here we are, launching into 2016 when I’ve only just got used to writing ‘2015’. Where do the months go!
I wonder how many people have made resolutions and have given up on them already? I hope to stick to at least a couple of mine, which are to try and get my artwork “out there” this year – meaning a more concerted effort to publicise myself (not an easy task if I’m completely honest) and also to paint more often than I have been doing.
The start of the year has been encouraging though, as I recently sold a large canvas of a highland cow (‘Hamish, Standing” – see below) – so with resolutions in place, let’s crack on!!
Given the job of providing the Christmas cake this year and keeping everyone happy, (some prefer fruit cake, some prefer sponge cake and some might just nibble a bit of gingerbread) – this is the end result. Santa is a traditional fruit cake, Rudolph is a Vicky sponge and the bedsteads are gingerbread! The wobbly icing is due to a festive sherry….or three. Happy Christmas π
Happy Christmas from me and the studio assistant .. Love – Rosie xx

Although it’s the time of year when impulses take over reasoned thinking, let’s just slow down and make sure that giving a cute little bundle of fun to someone as a Christmas gift is really the right thing to do.
If you still think a pooch is what they would like, why not give them a very well behaved one that doesn’t need walkies or scooping after?!
Here are a few gift ideas, OR you can commission me to paint a beloved four legged friend from your photos, for a truly original gift.
Happy Christmas Everyone π π»π
